About This Project

Suggestive of golden light playing on water, Gilded Waves is a large architectural piece that implies infinite space. It was created on lightweight lexan for ease of transport and economy. Unlike stained glass, gilding doesn’t require back-lighting so it can be hung on a wall to enhance an interior space.

Location: Long Island City, NY
Date: 2010
Medium: Metallic gilding on lexan
Size: 4′ H x 8′ W
